Matt Nash – Let You Go (feat. Georgi Kay)

Matt Nash Never Gonna Let You Go

Horns and house combined are a weakness of mine. Matt Nash releases his new single, Let You Go, featuring Georgi Kay off the growlingly popular Lowly Palace label. One of my personal favorite independent labels at the moment for it’s unique artistry, consistent brand, and forward thinking music. I’m always searching for unique music, and Lowly Palace keeps indulging my music discovery palate.

The song below features a house style track with soulful pop vocals from Georgi Kay culminating into a horn blessed melody with electro-house style percussion. The song’s energy isn’t extreme like your typical electro-house anthem, it’s more dance inducing, making the listener focus and be entranced with the horn melody. The anticipation is subtle, and the transitions are sweet. *Clap clap* Lowly Palace, you’ve done it again.

Matt Nash is a DJ/producer originally from London, who got involved in the UK scene at the young age of 15. He currently resides in Amsterdam. He’s one of Steve Angello’s boys, so you know to keep an eye on him.

He sent a quote along with the track…

I’ve been a huge fan of Georgi Kay since she I heard her vocals on Ivan Gough and Feenixpawl’s ‘In My Mind’. ‘Let You Go’ came together from a demo I sent her earlier this year, and after a few months of it going back and forth we were both happy with it. I really wanted to make something that could work in my sets, but still be a track you’d listen to anywhere.

Georgi Kay is a Australian indie pop artist currently residing in Los Angeles. She’s fairly well established, so click HERE to read her Wikipedia and learn more about her accomplishments. My personal favorite is that she won a MySpace songwriting competition. Remember MySpace?!?!
